St. Pete-based home services provider acquires two local companies

Southeastern has acquired Lakeland-based Pro-Team Plumbing, after acquiring Hudson-based Mario’s Air Conditioning & Heating earlier this month. Both companies currently service the Tampa Bay market and Tom Birchard, CEO of Southeastern Home Services, said they intend to make several other acquisitions this year.

Investors continue to target HVAC, plumbing firms

The latest company to enter the home-services fray is newly formed Southeastern Home Services, headquartered in St. Pete. Backed with capital from WhitneyWilder, a family office with locations in St. Pete and Charleston, South Carolina, it’s already made two acquisitions within the past few weeks: Mario’s Heating & Air Conditioning in Hudson and Pro-Team Plumbing in Lakeland.

The deal, backed by WhitneyWilder, marks the second acquisition of the newly-created Southeastern Home Services following their purchase of Mario’s Air Conditioning and Heating in May.
